Amanda took a full course of communications with some public relations, international relations, and social psychology side dishes at Boston University. After graduating in 2008, she took a few international public health classes and realized that she realized that she really just wanted to dive into public health work on the ground level in the Peace Corps. After taking part in Senegal’s first district-wide distribution, she became the PCV point-person for the distribution in her region of Kolda. Initially thinking that she wanted to COS in early 2011, she was soon convinced otherwise and now draws on her previous talking expertise as the communications and media manager for the Stomping Out Malaria in Africa initiative. She’s a big fan of Twitter and pretending to know to how to make movies.
